Queen of Your Own Life

Unexpected Things | Love Worthy

by Kathy Kinney

“One day she finally grasped that unexpected things were always going to happen in life. And with that, she realized the only control she had was how she chose to handle them. So, she made the decision to survive using courage, humor and grace. She was the Queen of her own life and the choice was hers.” ~ Queenisms™

Let’s face it. Stuff is going to happen. Life is going to happen. But we get to choose how we respond. And, in many cases we get to choose to impact life through the daily actions, words, deeds and choices we make.

Here’s to choosing more joy, more happiness, more love and more fulfillment in the coming year, Queens.

We’re here to guarantee you that you are love worthy. The choice to feel that way is yours.  Who’s with us?  What will you choose?

  1. Laura says:

I love the fact that you are making me aware that I AM A QUEEN and infact, I’M THE QUEEN OF MY OWN LIFE. Thank you for bringing me to this awareness. After being married for 10 years, having a daughter, owning my own business, singing in a band, single now for 15 years, being a professional career artist, and having had two meaningful relationships with men in the 1st half of my life I find myself still single and doubting if I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing at this stage in my life. You’ve made me stop and answer a few questions that are making me own up to what just might be what I need to confront to move into “Queenhood”. Here are my answers: I want to banish self defeating self talk and addictions that keep me stuck in the same pattern of life. I also want to banish the fear of never finding a life partner. What I want to keep about myself is my companssion for others and my free and courageous spirit. Thanks for the push ladies…

Queen Laura, what a great banish and keep list. That negative self talk will bring us to our knees, won’t it? We’re so glad you’re here, and joining us in “the practice” of happiness.

  3. Melanie says:

Thank you for this quote. It was sent to me and it was something I really needed to hear this week. Quite simply, thank you.

  4. cindy says:

Queen Melanie, You are so welcome. Someone cares deeply about you, clearly, and that’s a pretty wonderful thing.

  5. cindy says:

Yes, it is. Sadly, even though we wrote to her and she acknowledged that she took it directly from our page and added her name, she hasn’t removed it. But life’s too short to be angry. We’re too busy creating. 🙂

  6. Karen says:

I like that you aren’t telling us life is about CHOICES, because that makes me crazy. Life is what happens while we are busy making other plans (John Lennon). Sometimes there is very little room left to make choices or at least not the choices we want. Like good health when illness is thrust upon it us. You are telling us to make the best of the life we’ve been given.

  7. Tracy says:

In the midst of a chaotic life, this morning I chose to be happy. Guess what? I had a great day! This evening I saw your quote, and I thought, “YES!” Funny how that works, isn’t it?!

  8. Yes, Queen Tracy, it is funny in a wonderful way. So glad you choose happiness dailyt.
