Abundance | Reclaim the Crown and Harvest Happiness

by Kathy Kinney

Abundance.  Look in the mirror and repeat after us, “Today I’m going to take notice of the small things that are the true abundance in my life.  It’s not about wealth, it’s about the moments about giving and receiving love.”

Everyone that knows me knows that I love autumn.  It is my absolute favorite time of year.  It’s during autumn more than at any other time of the year that I take stock of my life.  So, today when I woke up with the phrase in my mind, “I want to harvest the true abundance of my life,” I decided it was a good time to start taking stock.

I have been very poor as well as employed with a good salary.   I can honestly say that the only time I have ever felt really flush with abundance is when I’m doing something for someone I love or allowing them to do something for me.   In counting the true abundance in my life I always go first to family, friends and then health.  I suppose that’s why my favorite movie is Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life.”  I think no matter how much money I had I would feel very poor if I didn’t have the love and support of my friends and family.  I’m going to try and add to my abundance today by giving and receiving love.  It may sound a little sappy, but I think I’m going to feel pretty rich by the end of the day.

I think of “It’s a Wondeful Life” every time I wonder if anyone would be impacted if I weren’t here. The answer is a big “YES”.
