Act As If – Queenisms

Act as If
When she didn’t feel like she looked her best she knew what to do – she used the

“Act As If” tool.  She acted as if she were the most sexy, beautiful and desirable woman in the world, until she felt that way inside and out.  She knew that in this world you get what you give and she was going to give it her all.    – Queenisms™

That “Act As If” tool is good for just about everything. We’re using this adorable vintage pin-up to illustrate just one. Whenever we feel “less than” about anything, we are big advocates of the mirror.  We make eye contact with ourselves and speak from the heart. Try it. Tell yourself something you need to hear today and “Act As If” to make it true. Here’s just a few things we’ve been telling ourselves (just to jolt your imagination):

* You are a smart women. You’ve figured out so many things already. You can do this, one step at a time.

* You have the right to say no if this request will put your health at risk. You have the right to say no if this request makes you uncomfortable. You have the right to say no if you don’t want to do this. This choice is yours.

*There is nothing selfish about treating yourself with kindness. That doesn’t make you snooty. It makes you kind.

*You can do more than you think you can. Look at all you’ve accomplished already. Go ahead and try this new thing.

What do you need to tell yourself? Let’s share and inspire one another, shall we?

Love the “Act As If” suggestion. As an Actress, I relate to it. It’s like Stanislavski’s MAGIC IF or WHISTLE A HAPPY TUNE from THE KING AND I.

Kathy & Cindy ~ Thank You for helping us all believe in ourselves no matter what we look like, who we are or where we come from. I’m an Acting Coach and Writer and I so believe that “we can’t change where we come from, but we can change where we’re going!”

    Keep your wonderful work going!

    Big Hugs, Norma Davids

Queen Norma, we’re so pleased to meet you. Seems like we have a lot in common. We come from a theater background, having met in college where we were both theater majors and we spent several years performing together in our own improv group in New York City. We’ve been creating our own path ahead for years and we love knowing you’re coaching others to do the same.
