Queen of Your Own Life

Banish the Lie

The truth is that you are enough and you always have been say authors Kathy Kinney and Cindy Ratzlaff.

All her life she had been told she wasn’t enough – good enough, smart enough, pretty enough. Now that she was adult, she realized that a lie was a lie no matter who told it to you and how often they said it. She was the brilliant and valuable Queen of her own life and it was time to let the truth set her free. Queenisms™

A lie is a lie no matter who tells it. Sometimes we hear lies from others in the form of “you’re not good enough, smart enough, brave enough, pretty enough, think enough, smart enough.” And sometimes we hear those lies from ourselves. Either way, a lie is a lie and it’s time to call out the truth. You are a brilliant, valuable woman worth of your own admiration. How do you tap into that truth? Practice. So let’s start now. Practice telling us one wonderful thing about yourself that you love. Don’t tell us you are good wives and mothers and sisters and daughters and friends. We believe that already. Tell us one thing about yourself that you love but rarely say out loud.  We’ll begin. Cindy loves her laugh. It’s loud and not very ladylike and she just doesn’t care.  Now it’s your turn.

I love my legs (and always have if I would admit it to myself). They look good, carry me to wherever I want or need to be, either by walking or riding my bike. Thanks for letting me say what I love about me.

I will have to give thought to other things about myself that might be lovable.

  4. Bizzy says:

I love my curiosity for life.

You, Queen Bizzy, are a very gifted Queen.
