Big Girl Pants | Queen of Your Own Life

by Kathy Kinney

It was her choice how to face each day.
1. She could wallow in hopelessness, sure that nothing would ever work out for her.
2. She could put on her big girl pants, choose positivity and be a source of inspiration for everyone around her including herself. – Queenisms™

Which do you choose Queens?

Choice is an energy that we should harness!

  2. cindy says:

Queen Gloria, we couldn’t agree more!

After taking a deep look inside myself….my big girl panties were pulled up and life goes on. Sometimes when you are in your late 60s and beginning a new chapter in your life, it takes a deep look and deep thinking to head in the right direction.

Your messages are so true and really hit home. Thanks!

I am glad I took the time to read your email. This particular pick me up made me smile. I have been gripped with a lack of confidence, a belly full of worry, and a mind full of confusion, for as long as I can remember. At 51 years old, I am just beginning to peek my head out and look around a bit. I am so tired of sitting in the dark and wringing my hands. I am equipped with the sword of truth, and a halo of light and need to step out and start walking FORWARD. I found out recently, that my 20 year old son got his 18 year old girlfriend pregnant. It took two weeks for them to decide to keep the baby. I am so very grateful for that. I will not miss this chance to capture the joy and share my tenderness and love with this little one. Is the situation “perfect”? Nope, it’s not. BUT…I have so very much to offer this little one. Most of all….L.O.V.E. Thanks ladies for your hard work. And, when I get that extra buck, I am going to run out and buy one of your books. I am looking forward to it!!!

Queen Sarah, that is one lucky little baby coming your way. We love your spirit. Love to you and to them!

  6. Karen says:

I would like my big girl panties to be a wee bit smaller than they currently are … and only I can make that happen. I need to make the choice to be healthier and to stick with it because I’m really not enjoying wearing big panties.

  7. cindy says:

Queen Karen, you gave us quite the chuckle with that comment, and you’re right. You get to choose. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. It just means you get to choose when, where and how.

This was a saying my Great Grandma Pat would say.. she was an orphan, married twice and raised her own children & 5 of her grandchildren ~ one of which was my mother. She lived to be in her 90’s. She inspires me to do what has to be done. Which is usually never easy. I found your site via Where women create – in an article Kathy was in. I love her spirit, humor and strength. My new version on this saying ” Coffee in hand, big girl panties pulled up, sparkle in my eye & a smile on my face… yep I’d say I’m ready for the day… BRING IT ON! Thank you for your inspiration! uplifting words! <3
