She prescribed a healthy dose of “be kind to yourself” daily. She believed it was a miracle drug. – Queenisms™
We’re not nurses, but we’ve decided to play nurse today and send you all this prescription – mostly, as always, because we need it ourselves today. We find we’re so hard on ourselves – and often about stuff nobody else cares about – and only we can stop the critical voices in our heads from taking us off the path to happiness.
We’re going to plan something sweet, kind or relaxing for ourselves every day this week and we’d love to encourage you to do the same. But here’s the trick. We want you to plan it AND do it AND not feel guilty if what you plan is only for you and not for anyone else. Can we all agree on that?
Kindness given to ourselves is a way we model how we want to be treated by others. Let’s be excellent role models.
