Daring to Try

Queenisms are original jolts of inspiration by Kathy Kinney and Cindy Ratzlaff of Queen of Your Own Life.

She knew that courage was not the absence of fear but rather the action of daring to try. ~ Queenisms™

Nobody goes through life without moments of fear. But if fear has you hiding under the covers, fear wins. Nothing great comes to those who cower and wait. But the rewards of acting, even when afraid, are enormous.  What have you accomplished even while afraid? We’d love to hear your stories. Why? Because when we share our stories, we share our strength. Somewhere someone needs a bit of your courage to tackle her own fears and move forward toward joy.

Such a topic ladies…one that used to paralyze me…FEAR.
When I was younger fear was a way to “control”.
I listened after all there is a “healthy fear”; instincts for survival.
To live in a state of fear is high anxiety living. And I think running from life.
If we walk through our fears to the other side we find the beauty and joys
that are a right of all of us. Being the Queen is my birthright. The Queen
of my own life…writer, producer, and director. With fear comes control.
For me fear made me run not knowing where to go I was lost
until I found myself, a gentle, strong, courageous, loving woman.
    A Queen!!!! <3

Now…there is cancer. That is another fear I walk everyday living with chronic lymphatic leukemia. In this case the fear is real. The fear makes me take care of my doctors appts.
Fear alters my eating habits as I try now to stop eating so much processed sugar. Fear made me say yes to 6 months of chemotherapy. Fear enabled me to walk to the other side of life…where I have control. I am the Queen of my own life. Thank you for letting me share <3
