I got a chain e-mail from a very dear friend this morning.  I usually smile, read them and don’t pass them on. In my circle, most of my friends use their e-mail for business and these clog up their inbox and aren’t appreciated. And, I always dislike that veiled threat that whatever is promised in the note won’t happen if you don’t pass the note on to at least 3 friends.

BUT today I got one that stopped me in my tracks and got me thinking about who really has my back.  So, forgive me, but I’m sharing it with thousands of good friends; you all.

The message was so timely for me.

There comes  a point in your life when you  realize:
Who matters,
Who  never did,
Who won’t anymore…
And who  always will.

Maybe it’s the time of year or maybe it’s the time in my life, but lately I’ve been thinking a lot about that small circle of people in my life who are truly important to me.  I long to invest more of my time, my energy and my heart in those relationships that are positive and uplifting and that are mutual.  A Queen surrounds herself with supportive, positive friends and strives to be that in return. A Queen keeps her heart open for the joy of new friendships, too.

And so I pass this profound message, from a chain e-mail, on to you as my gift. Who really matters in your life? Who feels the same about you? Is there a relationship that needs extra TLC and is worth the time?  Pick up the phone, write a letter, send a text. Tell that person how important they are in your life.  In fact, if you want to, honor them here.

Support.  Repeat after us: “I deserve to be surrounded by supportive, positive, uplifting friends who want only the best for me. And, I am willing to be that type of friend in return. I support this notion and will actively work to nurture those relationships. So sayeth the Queen.”
