Ditching the Old Stories

It was time for her to let go of the old stories she had been telling herself. Especially since they had never been true. - Queenisms™

We all carry around stories about our lives. And, so many of them are simply not true. If you have siblings, you might tell yourself you’re the “smart one,” or maybe even “the clumsy one.” There are so many good stories we tell ourselves but the stories we have to revisit are those where we’ve pigeon-holed ourselves with some notion or other that simply isn’t true. Did you take someone’s idea of who you were and make it your own? Did you incorporate negative messages from wounded people and believe they were true? Have you let old stories hold you back from writing your own new stories of yourself? We’d love to know. And we’d love you to know that you are the author of your own story. If you don’t like the plot, write a new chapter.
