When we were kids, we ran for no good reason except that it felt good. We skipped, hopped, spun around in circles, laughed and played. We did all those things because they gave us joy. Why on earth did we stop? Well, most likely because the responsibilities of life are complicated, serious and sometimes overwhelming. But every now and then, in the quiet of a day, we just want to spin and laugh. Maybe we’ll do that today in our office chairs. How about you? What brings a bubbling spring of laughter to your lips? Let’s vow to let ourselves be dizzy with joy this week, shall we?

I miss those moments of joy. I have a picture of myself when I was little and I have such joy on my face. Oh how I want that look back.

Yes. Let’s sing to the dog or the children and clap our hands with delight. Life is too short to have another day without joy: irrational, irrepressible joy!
