Fantasize | The Battle for You

by Cindy Ratzlaff

Fantasize [verb]; to daydream about something desired.

There are moments in our lives when we have the opportunity, whether we ask for it or not, to stop and ask ourselves “what does my heart desire?

Sometimes it’s illness that slows us down and requires us to take time off.  Sometimes it’s an abrupt change to our working situations.  Sometimes it’s the loss of a relationship or the passing of a loved one.  And, sometimes, we simply wake up and realize that the opportunity to quiet our minds and look into our hearts and listen, is always there.  We just need to ask the question.

So wherever you are today, whatever your circumstances, let’s give voice to those desires. It’s a bold and dangerous thing to do.  Because, once you speak those desires out loud, they’ve been born.  And, now you are responsible for nurturing them.

And, here’s the deal.  I’m not talking about wanting a new car or a new house or a lot of money.  I’m talking about you.  What do you want for you?

I’ll start.  I want energy. Bright, shining energy that gives me the fuel to create. I want energy that pops me out of bed in the mornings and makes me squeal in delight to be alive.  I’ve been lacking that energy and I want it with all my heart.  So now that I’ve spoken that out loud and I know that’s in my heart, I’m going to fantasize about what I’ll do with all that energy, AND I’m responsible for nurturing my dream.  So there are some behaviors I need to change to give myself that energy. I need to get more sleep.  To get more sleep, I need to establish some routines about work, food, drink and exercise that create an optimum sleep environment. Some of those changes will be easy now that I know why I want to make them.  Some of those changes will be hard.  But I’m worth it.

What does your heart desire?  Do you dare fantasize?

I want true love. The love that lasts a lifetime. I realize now that I have never had it. That’s my fantasy for today. I want true love.

I want to feel unconditional, true love for myself. My belief is that then I will be able to know what it really feels like so I can receive it and offer it to others.
