Queen of Your Own Life

Fighting the Tide | Royal Reminders

by Kathy Kinney and Cindy Ratzlaff

Sometimes she felt so overwhelmed it was as if she were constantly struggling to swim against the waves. Then she remembered the first rule of swimming – you can’t fight the ocean so when you find yourself in trouble the best thing to do is just relax and go with the flow. She decided to apply that rule to life as well and when she did everything got so much easier. – Queenisms™

Every one of us has those moments when we’re raging against “the way things are.” And, on the whole, it’s not a bad idea to fight the status quo, change to grow and be open to new things.

But there are times when we need the wisdom to slow down, let feelings, emotions, responsibilities and whatever else is overwhelming us simply pass through us. We need to stop flailing and go with the flow until we reach a spot where the current isn’t so strong and angry. That’s not a sign of weakness or giving up.  It’s a sign of wisdom and discernment. Remember to give yourself a pat on the back when you go with the flow…just as you do when you try something new. Both actions are worthy of a Queen.

Sometimes I feel like you guys are giving me a reading instead of just advice. The information is always right on for the day which is a really good thing. Going through some health issues and I feel so bad when the people I thought would show some interest show none whatsoever and then I think oh well the ones who do are the ones in the end who count.
