Fully Engaged in the Practice of Happiness

A Queen is always fully engagedWe believe that happiness is not something that happens to us. We believe it’s a practice. Happiness has muscle memory and we can train ourselves to make happiness our default. We’re not saying we’ll all be happy every day and never have any sad days. We’re saying we can teach ourselves, through practice, to view our lives through a happiness lens and see more good than bad, more joy than sorrow, more possibility than road blocks. How? By daily focusing our minds, even for a few minutes, on the things for which we are grateful. Start each morning with “I am grateful for. . .”

This is such an important reminder in these critical times so full of stress and uncertainty. No matter our circumstances, we all have something to be grateful for.

  2. Theresa says:

That “attitude of gratitude” has made a big difference in my life. A daily practice can be a challenge that reaps results.

  3. cindy says:

Queen Theresa, today we’re grateful to see your name in the comments. Even though we haven’t met, we feel connected to you and we’re grateful.

  4. cindy says:

We really do Queen Annie. Even something we take for granted like, “I woke up this morning in a bed.” Focusing on the positive rather than ruminating on the negative physically changes the way our brains work, in a good way.
