She’d stitched together a life that meant something to her. And anything else didn’t amount to a hill of beans. – Queenisms™
When other people judge our choices, they are doing so through their own lens of what is important – to them. Their insight into what makes a valuable life is not wiser than yours. It’s biased. And, that’s ok. But when we give their opinions ultimate authority and power over our feelings about our choices, we set ourselves up for self-doubt, low self-esteem and frankly a whole lot of other feelings that aren’t helpful in our journey to craft a life worth living. Trust yourself. Gather agenda-free friends to advise you. But ultimately, trust yourself.
