Queen of Your Own Life

Let Your Power and Beauty Shine

She often got so caught up in being who she thought she should be that she didn't know who she was. She decided today she would get out of her own way and let her real power and beauty shine. There was no telling what a difference she could make. - Queenisms™

When we put all our focus on who we think we should be, it’s easy to ignore who we are. And who we are, dear Queens, is more than enough. Can you imagine a world in which every woman was a super model or a brain surgeon. There would be no need for designers and artists because every woman would look exactly the same and we wouldn’t learn to appreciate the subtle differences in our human form. Or we’d have rotten teeth because everyone was a brain surgeon and we didn’t value the science of dentistry enough to encourage some to follow their dreams and learn to care for teeth. OK, these are extreme and even silly examples, but still true. The way you see the world, the gifts you bring to your daily interactions with people, even the way you look – those are wonderful things and it would be an utter shame if you spent another moment wishing you were someone else instead of amplifying the beautiful, courageous, glorious person you already are. When we put all our focus on who we think we should be, it’s easy to ignore who we are – and who we are is just perfect.
