Letting Go of Negative People

She was stronger than she looked - Queenisms are jolts of inspiration by Kathy Kinney and Cindy Ratzlaff.

There were people in her life that caused her pain and tried to make her feel bad about herself. She decided it was time to let them go, and even if it made her feel lonely for a while, open her life to let in more positive people. She was gentle and kind but so much stronger than she looked. – Queenisms™

Everyone has experienced hurt and disappointment. But there’s a difference between a slight and a toxic relationship. Only you can determine when it’s time to work through something and when it’s time to change the situation completely. Releasing negative people from our lives makes space for positive, supportive and loving people and helps creates a life free from drama. You are stronger than you think you are.

  1. For 42 years I have been tied to a person who, because of a mental condition, sees the world in the worst possible light. My economic situation and my religion do not allow me a change in situation, but 8 years ago I changed my life. Accepting I could not make him any happier, no matter what I did, I consciously decided that, from then on, I was going to help whoever needed help, that came into my life. My situation is the same but I am free of the commitment that held my heart captive. Now I am surrounded by new friends, young people and others much older, that share with me the hope and fight for a better world. It has made no difference to that person but I am now free to spread my love and knowledge around.

Queen Marimer, What a beautiful example you’ve shown here. You’ve changed your circumstances without physically changing locations. You’ve invited love and friendship into your life and as you so beautifully said, you are now “free of the commitment that held my heart captive.” You’ve done no harm but saved yourself. We are sending you virtual hugs today and thank you for sharing your story.
