Negative Self Talk | Queen of Your Own Life

by Cindy Ratzlaff

She’d fallen into the habit of speaking negatively to and about herself and decided to take action to nip it in the bud. ~ Queenisms™

What will you “nip in the bud” Queens? Let’s name our negative thoughts and leave them here to perish, as they should.

My inner voices only spew negative talk. I’m banishing them this year! Started this morning at 4am, when I started reading your book. And I thought to myself….I’m tired. Tired like someone has beaten me up. And then I realized, someone HAD been beating myself up: ME!

I want peace in my soul. So negative self talk, inner voices, Mongrol crew(isn’t that what you call them in the book? Ok, I can’t quite remember but it was 4am!)….I WANT THEM BANISHED!

That’s another thing that struck me while I was contemplating the book: I never say “I want”. Always taking care of others and what they want. So that’s my mantra for this year. I WANT…….

    Love you ladies!

Queen Melissa, Your “aha” moment brought tears to our eyes. We want this for you. We manufacture those voices and we can change them to supportive, uplifting voices. And we’ll be here to remind you and inspire you every step of the way. Go Melissa!

I know how you feel Queen Melissa. I seem to think that everything I say or do needs to be ripped apart and I am told by the hordes in my head how dumb, etc. it all is. I have made up my mind to banish and silence them.

I woke up to the screams of my negative thoughts and sang them to sleep most night for the past 3 years. It took a love betray in the past year to take an honest look at myself and realised how empty I was inside. I’m on the journey to the revelation of my soul and of loving and re-inverting myself. Amidst the fears I’m thankful for FB pages and websites like yours that are so full of encouragement.

Queen KayBee, You are a brave, wonderful woman and your journey is an inspiration to us and to other women you’ll never even meet. So that you so much for sharing your story here! We’re glad to be walking with you.
