Queen of Your Own Life

Neither Wealth Nor Youth

She decided to give herself the best life possible. It didn't involve wealth or looking young forever. It was about being open to give and receive love.- Queenisms™

We’d like to borrow heavily from the postal service motto here and just say, “Neither wealth, nor youth, nor circumstance of life shall keep us from being open to giving love – and to receiving it.” Please, oh please, do not let fear, lack and exhaustion cause you to give up on the miracle of happiness – a lifelong practice that is abundantly worth the effort. We don’t get to a place of happiness. We experience glimpses and moments and then we’re on the road again, practicing and remaining open to seeing or hearing or feeling that next remarkable happy moment. And did you know happiness can be amplified? It can by sharing it with others. Why not share a moment you’ve recently (or not so recently) experienced to help others see the possibilities? You might find that reading about these sweet, funny, joyful or quiet moments of gratitude remind you that you’re more open to giving and receiving love than you imagined.

A moment of perfect happiness and joy: The other day, just as the sun is thinking of going down, I sit outdoors on my bright yellow bench with my dog sitting beside me and just enjoy the effect of the sunlight on the tree tops and the quiet of nature all around. It makes me smile to know all this is free and mine to enjoy!

A moment of happiness for me is reading a good book, with a cat in my lap and a good cup of coffee.
