Our Own Fear | Royal Reminders

by Kathy Kinney

“One day it occurred to her that the main thing that stood between her and the life she wanted to live was her own fear. She decided she had the courage to start walking through that fear one tiny step at a time. After all, she had nothing to lose and everything to gain.” ~ Queenisms™

Haven’t we all done things that when we looked back and reflected we honestly had to say “thank goodness I didn’t know how hard that was going to be or I’d have never tried.”

What have you accomplished because you took one small step, even if you were afraid?

For a long time after my kid’s dad and I separted, I had serious issues with men. It didnt help my three son’s happened to be…well…men. I was so angry I didnt want to see, talk to, or in anyway interact with one. But slowly I overcame my issues, and today I am remarried to the most wonderful, caring, understanding, hardworking, man alive today and I am so lucky to have pulled myself up out of that black hole! If I hadn’t been able to do that I wouldn’t be blessed as I am today.

Queen Susan, You are a perfect example of the concept of “there is always something more.” And, you’ve demonstrated the reason that we must all put feet on the ground in this journey of life and keep moving forward even when we’re angry, imperfect, can’t see the road or depressed…because there is always something more. Your story made my heart sing. Thank you for sharing. You have, I guarantee you, inspired someone today with exactly what they needed to hear to keep moving forward.
