Quit Anger Cold Turkey | Summer of Self

She carried around a lot of anger about things that had happened to her in the past. The truth was she had the power to stop cold turkey, feeling bad about the past and finally get on with living a happy life. She thought, “If not now, when?” – Queenisms™

Holding onto hurts from the past squeezes out space for new and happier experiences and emotions.  Anger is such an all encompassing emotion that it crowds out all other feelings and holds us hostage. Do not rent anger free space in your head. Quitting anger doesn’t mean denying that something happened and that it hurt.  Quitting anger can mean deciding to let the hurt and anger be in the past and giving yourself permission to be happy in the present.
