Renewal Ritual

The word ritual might sound all woo-woo to you, and you might not think you have rituals or even like them. But we believe we all have rituals in our lives, whether we call them that or not. Do you drink a cup of coffee when you wake up? That’s a ritual. Do you take a daily shower? Ritual. Check our Facebook page? Ritual, and a good one 🙂 We also have daily rituals that aren’t so positive. Perhaps we speak harshly to ourselves every time we pass a mirror. Maybe we eat chips every day because they’re in the house. Do we drive around the parking lot looking for the closest spot rather than park farther away and walk? Those are rituals too.

We’d like to suggest that even negative thought can be a ritual, although often an unconscious one. So what would happen if we purposefully created a moment of positive thought in our day and gave ourselves the gift of a refreshed, renewed and empowering start or end to each day? Taking a shower is could be a little mini meditation. Try it. We think you’ll find that it gets easier to imagine positive energy flowing into you and negative energy flowing out with a little practice. Here’s to a sparkling day filled with positive energy and a refreshed sense of well being.

So if the word ritual sounds woo-woo to you, you are not alone. But rituals are a part of our lives whether we call them that or not. Let’s embrace the positive ones and reduce or delete the negative ones.
