Queen of Your Own Life

Secret | Royal Decisions

by Cindy Ratzlaff

“The secret is out.  YOU are fabulous!” ~ Queenisms™

Ultimately, the decision is yours to make.  But sometimes all we need a little reminder that we’re amazing, beautiful, intelligent, kind, loving, strong, courageous, talented, intuitive or gifted women.

Here’s your reminder.  Now go remind a friend.

We’d love to know a little about you and/or your amazing friend. Which wonderful attribute did you decide to believe about yourself?  Which one did you help your friend see in herself?

We appreciate you more than you will ever know, Queens.

Oh, how I love “Queen of your own life.” I bought the book last year, as soon as I heard of it, and read it cover to cover immediately! I’ve highlighted almost the whole thing! Thank you so much for all you do!

I want to tell you about my dear friend, Tracy. She and I met while working for a woman who had a business in a condo. It was a very small office. I was a single mother, raising twin sons and Tracy was a cute little college student who took a job to help pay for school. I was engaged at the time (never married him) and one day, I had come in from a lunch hour, where my intended had once again, hurt my feelings. Tracy saw that I was hurting and she kindly took my hand and asked, “You not feeling well? Would you like to hear something that will cheer you up?” I wasn’t too interested, and almost on cue, this cute. petite little blonde passed gas like a grizzly bear! I was shocked! But she DID cheer me up, for sure.

One of the things I love about Tracy is that she finds beauty in everybody and every situation. She once told me about a confrontation in a parking lot, where a woman had taken a spot that she was waiting for, and this woman was very rude about it, and confrontational. Well, Tracy ended up sending this woman flowers! She thought it was so sad that this woman was so rude and thought she probably was having a really hard day. Wow! I can always count on Tracy to help me see the beauty in the most unlovable people and circumstances. She is my biggest cheerleader and I was so sad to see her move from California to Boston, where she’s been for the last 10 years. We’ve been friends for about 15 years now, and she is my dearest, sweetest “forever friend.” Tracy is definitely Queen material, as we all are.

Queen Deborah, You made our morning with this beautiful tale of friendship and support. You and Tracy are truly wonderful, supportive friends and we know from experience that keeping a friendship alive and vibrant, over a long distance, takes extra work. We’re touching our pearls and waving in your direction(s) and smiling because you are both, indeed, Queens.
