She decided it was time to forgive herself for those shortcomings that only she could see. – Queenisms™

While we beat ourselves up for not being this or that “enough,” we’re depriving others of the gifts we do possess. And, before you tell us you don’t have any gifts, let us just say, oh yes you do. The gift of your company is one. We love seeing you and hearing from you here and on our Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages. Every visit is a gift to us from you. It lets us know that what we create in our books and daily posts is meaningful in your lives. So thank you.

You don’t always get to see the impact your gifts have on others. Sometimes a smile triggers a better day for someone you don’t even know. Perhaps a phone call perked up someone who was feeling low. A compliment reminds someone that they are appreciated. A meal served to your family is a sign of love. You get the idea. Little gestures matter. Has someone ever done something very small that made your day? Bet you didn’t think “gee that person sure isn’t very handy with a sewing machine,” or “gosh that woman doesn’t keep a very tidy house.”  You thought, “that person was lovely to do that,” didn’t you? Not so secret tip – they’re thinking the same thing about you. They do not see any shortcomings…so please forgive yourself and let’s shine.
