Viewing the Tapestry of Your Life

For so long, all she could see were the imperfections, the struggles and the messy bits that bogged her down. But when she finally stepped back, and let go of her judgement, she was able to see the beauty and abundance in the whole tapestry that was her life. - Queenisms™

For so long, all she could see were the imperfections, the struggles and the messy bits that bogged her down. But when she finally stepped back, and let go of her judgement, she was able to see the beauty and abundance in the whole tapestry that was her life. – Queenisms™

When we look at the back of the tapestry we see all the threads tied off and the changes in colors and stitches and the rough backing. That’s how life feels when we’re in the mix of a challenge, bobbing and weaving and trying to make sense of our day to day lives. But every once and a while, it’s good to step out front and look at the tapestry of your whole life and let yourself take in the beauty of the whole work of art. Every tapestry has a front and a backside. Our day to day lives are the backside. But the beautiful, glorious front is the big picture.

This is so true. My “backside” of life looks like a newbie learning to embroider. My “front side” of life has lovely colors and patterns. Thank you for making me to stop and look at the front today. I get tired of looking at the knots. I promise to look at the whle tapestry more often to remind myself I am living a mostly good life for myself.
