Your Big, Messy Closet Full of Woe

Authors Kathy Kinney and Cindy Ratzlaff create original Queenisms, jolts of inspiration in books and at http://QueenofYourOwnLife.com.

Sometimes she would look at other’s lives and think they had more or were doing it all better. The truth was everybody had a big, messy closet full of troubles that no one ever saw.

That grass is always greener feeling we all get now and then is a red herring. Our minds are trying to stir up a sense of dissatisfaction with our own lives by feeding us lies about how much better someone else has it. But behind closed doors, someone else is sad, hurt, tired, lonely, stressed, worried and fearful. Everything we feel, someone else feels. Our troubles are not more or less than our neighbors. They’re just ours. So walk gently today, Queens, because everyone you meet is carrying a burden, seen or unseen. Don’t add to the weight of it.

Special thanks for this image of the woman sent to us by Sarah Hope and her Mum, amusingly titled “Playboy Calendar: 1890”. [and no, Playboy was not actually published in 1890]

We all have messy closets, we just have to learn to take one minute at a time and decide not to let it take control of our lives. We either get help by confiding in a spouse, a friend, a pastor, a professional OR do it your self with self-help manuals. Just DO SOMETHING.
