You’ve Come So Far

She had come so far and was really proud of how she had survived. She was thrilled by who she had become and the adventure she was on. She thought, "Ain't life grand?" – Queenisms™

We decided that we never give ourselves enough credit for all of the things we’ve survived in our lives and that we did it all with our sense of humor intact!  Death, divorce, illness and being fired are a few of the top painful events in life but don’t forget the difficulty of moving, loss of a friendship and letting go of a dream.  All of the experiences that we have survived have made us the truly awesome women that we are right now.  Remember if there was no grit in the oyster there would be no beautiful pearl!

Life is grand! I have survived many losses and sacrifices in my lifetime. Each one has given me more character, strength, knowledge and wisdom. At this point in my life, I am so pleased when I can offer assistance to a younger woman who is experiencing difficult times. When you can feel what others are feeling because you have been there, it is such a comfort to that person. I truly believe life deals us some rotten hands so we can not only appreciate the good times, but we can offer sage advise and warm hugs to others who need it because we truly understand what they are going through.

    Life is good…
I am an older lady, often considering myself on the downswing, not as useful as I used to be, forgetful, unable to run, and with my grey hair, I certainly never get “carded” any more! But, then we have YOU TWO ladies that give us all a gilt we need, the boost we deserve. Plus, I have been blessed with thankful daughters. When I share a jewel from the past, some advice from years of experience, they also make sure I know how valuable I am. How appreciative they are for the sharing of my wisdom. We all need to be reminded of that now & then.
    Thank you for you wisdom!
    Life is so very good.
