You’re Stronger Than You Imagine

Here’s a dose of common sense we all need to hear on occasion – life is going to happen and there is nothing we can do about it so why waste time worrying about it now?  When we are always waiting for the other shoe to drop we miss so much that is happening right now.  Also, you may have noticed, but worrying doesn’t solve a thing.  It’s just a bad habit we fall into and then don’t take the time to get out of.  It’s easier than you think to make the conscious choice not to worry and aren’t you worth it?

Walking Through Your Fears

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017

One day she realized that ignoring her problems didn't make them go away - it just made them last longer. So she decided to walk through her fear and face each problem very slowly, one at a time. She was so much stronger and braver than she realized. - Queenisms™

Living A Vivid Life

It really boils down to the choice of keeping your light hidden or just letting it shine.  Sometimes we tell ourselves silly stories about not being bright, worthy or valuable.  The truth is we all have so much to offer the world and it’s foolish to think we don’t.  When we finally make the decision to simply be ourselves we open the door to a life of happiness and adventure…and who doesn’t want that?  We doubt anyone would ever accuse you of being boring!

Open The Door To Adventure

Monday, February 20th, 2017

She was done waiting for the world to come to her. She decided to open the door to adventure, confident that she was woman enough to handle and enjoy it all. – Queenisms™

We have all spent a lot of time waiting for things to be perfectly aligned – but what if that never happens?  Waiting for life to happen is one way to do it but how about running out and meeting life head on?  When you eliminate fear of failing how far can you go?  We decided a long time ago that at the end of our lives we wanted to know that we had worked hard, laughed hard, made a difference and created a life of great adventure.  We believe you are woman enough to fling open the door to a fun and fulfilling life.

Your Time to Stand Out

When we were in junior high and high school it was the norm to try and fit in and be one of the crowd.  Now that we’re older it we can’t imagine why we wanted to do that.  Being yourself is such a gift and frees you up to enjoy yourself and your life.  Instead of being quiet or blending in why not share what you think.  What a good day to be what you are – a bold, colorful, valuable woman with a lot to offer.

Pick Yourself Up and Try Again

Wednesday, February 15th, 2017

Things hadn't worked out. So she gave herself 15 minutes to mope, sigh and mutter, "Poor me." After that she was going to pick herself up and try again. - Queenisms™

Life throws things to overcome into our path all of the time.  If we stay in bed under the covers we lose – and life wins.  It’s okay to pull the cover over our heads for a while, everybody does it, but it’s how fast we toss them back and get out of bed that is the sign of recovery, courage and strength.  Fall down, get up; fall down, get up faster; fall down, stand up tall with a smile on your face and move gracefully on.

Show The World What You’re Made Of

She looked in the mirror, made eye contact with herself and said, "I love you. I always have and I always will. Now let's go show them what we're made of!" - Queenisms™

Glancing in the mirror is something we do a lot during the day to make sure our hair isn’t standing on end or that we don’t have some lettuce stuck in our teeth.  But, when is the last time you actually stopped,  made eye contact with yourself and said how you feel about yourself?  We know it sounds corny but it can be very powerful.  Why not give it a try and see what comes up for you.  It’s a great way to focus on what’s really important, which is you.

The Joy Of Being Yourself

We live in a world where we are bombarded with the information that we are not good enough if we don’t look young, thin, wrinkle free or have a perfect figure.  It’s no wonder we find it hard to love, let alone, like ourselves!  The amount of time spent trying to be somebody we’re not is outrageous.  Giving ourselves permission to be ourselves is the key to freedom and a breath of fresh air for everyone around us.  Life doesn’t have to be so hard.

Courage For Us All

She believed a deep river of courage runs within us all. - Queenisms™

She believed a deep river of courage runs within us all. – Queenisms™

We have already been tested many times in our lives and survived and there is no reason to believe that we won’t be able to continue to do so. The quandary is how to do it without letting it all damage our spirit. So it’s important to remember that it’s the hard times that take off the rough edges and polish us to a beautiful shine.   And, the light from that shine comes from within and shows us and those around us a woman who is loving and kind as well as brave and resilient.

Facing Life’s Challenges

Life's challenges could be a sticky wicket, but she had a mallet and she knew how to use it. - Queenisms™

Stuff does have a way of happening in life but we’re not really advocating smashing your problems with a mallet! However, we are suggesting that you keep your sense of humor easily accessible.  At the beginning of every year we ask ourselves what we want to banish that’s no longer working for us and what we want to keep about ourselves that’s still working.  We always want to banish our low self esteem, which crops up even when we think we’ve let it all go and what we always want to keep is our sense of humor.  Even in the toughest of times a bit of humor can give us some relief and make us feel balanced and whole again.  Is that your experience as well?
