Not Just About Willpower

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018

It wasn't about willpower, she had willpower coming out of her ears. It was about finally believing, no matter what, that she was worth fighting for. - Queenisms™

Hope The Best Gift Of All

This season she would give herself the best gift of all. Hope. - Queenisms™

Everything has a beginning a middle and an end.  Since we’re not always capable of seeing where we are in the process it’s important to hang onto hope. We all deserve the best that life has to offer.

Hang On To Hope

The fact is every single thing has a beginning, middle and end. You just have to hang on tight to hope even when the end doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight. - Queenisms™

Everything has a beginning, middle and end.  If we were giants maybe we could see past the horizon to the end but we’re only human so we have to hang onto hope until the end inevitably arrives.  We all hang on to hope at some point in our lives, you are not alone.

Everything Will Be All Right

Nobody really wants change or  to face the many catastrophe’s that life throws in our path but they’re going to happen anyway.  We have all faced a great number of these ordeals already and survived them.  Understanding that we will be all right no matter what is a give born of experience.  Hanging on to our sense of humor and with full belief in our resilience, there is nothing we can’t face and survive.  We are all so much braver and stronger than we even know.

Walk Away From Negativity

Tuesday, April 18th, 2017

It was her choice. She could let negativity kick her in the pants or she could walk away. She put on her shoes, opened the door and said, "Buh-bye now." - Queenisms™

Negativity is like a magnet, it pulls people, places and things into our lives that we don’t need.  Letting go of our own negativity and the people in our lives who bring their own drama with them is a choice and we get to make it every day. It requires a bit of practice to see our lives with gratitude for what we have instead of anger and resentment for what we don’t have.  This simple practice will ultimately open the door for all things positive to walk right in.

Never Too Late To Be Happy

She reminded herself that it was never too late to have a happy childhood. So that's exactly what she gave herself. - Queenisms™

Most childhoods fall between getting a pony for your birthday and living just inside the gates of hell.  Whether you thrived or suffered as a child you have the power right now to treat yourself with all of the love and respect you want and need.  We’re not saying go out and buy yourself the pony but we are talking about giving yourself the gift of unconditional love.  When was the last time you looked in the mirror and asked yourself, “What can I do today to make you happy?”  It’s a powerful experience and you are so worth it.

Let Go of Negativity

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

She decided to stop hanging on to negativity and instead let it just pass right through her. She had finally realized that it was her choice. Life didn't have to be so hard. - Queenisms™

We all have a friend, family member even co-worker who never has anything good to say and is always surrounded by a cloud of negativity.  You feel like you need to take a shower or at least a few breaths of fresh air after you spend time with them.  The two choices to deal with this are gently let these people go out of your life or imagine letting their negativity travel right through you never stopping until it hits the earths core.  Why not use your imagination to help heal your life.  It’s your choice, life doesn’t have to be so hard.

Letting Go Of Worry

She decided today she would practice letting go of worry and instead, fill her thoughts with gratitude for what she already had. - Queenisms™

We used to be President and Vice President of the Worry Wart Club.  If we had a spare moment we spent it worrying about something that may or may not happen.  It was such a waste of our valuable time and something that we had learned and very much wanted to unlearn.  We decided to replace our worry with gratitude.  There are so many things in our lives that we are grateful for and a gratitude list is so much more inspiring than our old worry list.  We loved this picture because it made us grateful that we didn’t have wash machines like that!  How about you?

Steps For A Stressless Holiday

We shared these simple ideas for a stress-less holiday with you last year and we love them so much we wanted to share them again with you today. A special thank you to our friend Lisa Kamen of Harvesting Happiness. http://harvestinghappiness.com/

We shared this Queenism last season and it seems just as important, if not more, this year.  In the bustle and whirl of the holiday season it’s so easy to lose track of how to receive and give happiness and joy.  It used to be that when the holidays were over we were ready to drop.  It took the whole month of January and sometimes part of February just to recover.  We decided to change that.  Now, every year our goal is to find ourselves, when the holidays are over, filled with the satisfaction that we had lived it and enjoyed it as the best woman we could possibly be.  We wish you a happy and joyous holiday and may we all listen from our hearts to be the best women we are born to be!
