Everything Will Be All Right

Nobody really wants change or  to face the many catastrophe’s that life throws in our path but they’re going to happen anyway.  We have all faced a great number of these ordeals already and survived them.  Understanding that we will be all right no matter what is a give born of experience.  Hanging on to our sense of humor and with full belief in our resilience, there is nothing we can’t face and survive.  We are all so much braver and stronger than we even know.

Walk Away From Negativity

It was her choice. She could let negativity kick her in the pants or she could walk away. She put on her shoes, opened the door and said, "Buh-bye now." - Queenisms™

Negativity is like a magnet, it pulls people, places and things into our lives that we don’t need.  Letting go of our own negativity and the people in our lives who bring their own drama with them is a choice and we get to make it every day. It requires a bit of practice to see our lives with gratitude for what we have instead of anger and resentment for what we don’t have.  This simple practice will ultimately open the door for all things positive to walk right in.

Never Too Late To Be Happy

She reminded herself that it was never too late to have a happy childhood. So that's exactly what she gave herself. - Queenisms™

Most childhoods fall between getting a pony for your birthday and living just inside the gates of hell.  Whether you thrived or suffered as a child you have the power right now to treat yourself with all of the love and respect you want and need.  We’re not saying go out and buy yourself the pony but we are talking about giving yourself the gift of unconditional love.  When was the last time you looked in the mirror and asked yourself, “What can I do today to make you happy?”  It’s a powerful experience and you are so worth it.

Let Go of Negativity

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

She decided to stop hanging on to negativity and instead let it just pass right through her. She had finally realized that it was her choice. Life didn't have to be so hard. - Queenisms™

We all have a friend, family member even co-worker who never has anything good to say and is always surrounded by a cloud of negativity.  You feel like you need to take a shower or at least a few breaths of fresh air after you spend time with them.  The two choices to deal with this are gently let these people go out of your life or imagine letting their negativity travel right through you never stopping until it hits the earths core.  Why not use your imagination to help heal your life.  It’s your choice, life doesn’t have to be so hard.

Letting Go Of Worry

We used to be President and Vice President of the Worry Wart Club.  If we had a spare moment we spent it worrying about something that may or may not happen.  It was such a waste of our valuable time and something that we had learned and very much wanted to unlearn.  We decided to replace our worry with gratitude.  There are so many things in our lives that we are grateful for and a gratitude list is so much more inspiring than our old worry list.  We loved this picture because it made us grateful that we didn’t have wash machines like that!  How about you?

Steps For A Stressless Holiday

Wednesday, December 14th, 2016

We shared these simple ideas for a stress-less holiday with you last year and we love them so much we wanted to share them again with you today. A special thank you to our friend Lisa Kamen of Harvesting Happiness. http://harvestinghappiness.com/

We shared this Queenism last season and it seems just as important, if not more, this year.  In the bustle and whirl of the holiday season it’s so easy to lose track of how to receive and give happiness and joy.  It used to be that when the holidays were over we were ready to drop.  It took the whole month of January and sometimes part of February just to recover.  We decided to change that.  Now, every year our goal is to find ourselves, when the holidays are over, filled with the satisfaction that we had lived it and enjoyed it as the best woman we could possibly be.  We wish you a happy and joyous holiday and may we all listen from our hearts to be the best women we are born to be!

Key To A Joyful Life

In the past we’ve been known to wallow in a bit of fear and despair.  And, the truth is fear and despair are always lurking around the corner ready to jump out at us without a moments notice.  We just choose to not wallow in it anymore because we would rather lead a joyful life.  Making the choice to look at the positives in life is a way to build a sold base of hope so you have something to hang on to.  Do you still wallow or do you only take a quick dip in despair and then grab for the hope?

Stop Defining Life And Live

Monday, September 19th, 2016

. One day she realized she was wasting her time defining her experiences as good or bad. It was all just life. She decided to use that time to instead remind herself that she was brave, strong and creative enough to handle anything. – Queenisms™

When we stopped and looked back over our lives (we call it a “windy mountain moment” in our book), we realized that labeling our experiences good or bad was foolish.  Things that we had dreamed for had sometimes been horrible and situations that we thought were going to destroy us turned out to be major turning points to grace and joy.  Life is just life and we think it’s a waste of time to add the labels, how about you?

Illuminate Your Own Path

Tuesday, December 29th, 2015

There were days when she just couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. On those days, she knew she'd need to sparkle a little bit brighter to illuminate the way, for herself and others. - Queenisms™

Being able to turn on your own inner light and use it for yourself and others is about resilience. We all get knocked about a bit in life. But that ability to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keep going is about resilience. So can we learn to be resilient? We believe we can. How? Through practice. Try this today. Choose something small that’s annoying you or bothering you. Let’s say you hate standing in line to return gifts. Go do this. And while you are there, practice saying to yourself, “I will be patient, joyful, kind and thoughtful in my speech, my tone, and my body language. And, I will let go of any resentment or frustration.” Practicing this in a situation that is frustrating, but not life threatening, exercises your sparkle muscles. Can you think of other situations where you could practice?

The Need for Tenderness

The word tenderness kept coming to mind. She knew she sure could use more of it and she suspected others could too. So she spread it wherever she went. - Queenisms™

We’ve been thinking a great deal about the concept of tenderness, both as it applies to ourselves and to others. Tenderness is forgiving and gentle. Tenderness is open and welcoming. Tenderness is accepting and loving. Tenderness does not judge but simply listens. Tenderness makes our hearts grow and fills us with hope. Spread a little tenderness wherever you go and watch what happens to others — and to you.
